Sri Ayutthaya @ Bukit Damansara

February 21, 2011 at 4:49 am (Food Love Affair) (, , , )

On Friday I went to Sri Ayutthaya at Bukit Damansara for a Luncheon Meeting with my colleagues. It was not my first time to Sri Ayutthaya but it was the first time I’ve been to that branch.

We were greeted warmly by their hostess and been brought to our reserved table of 10. After settling down, guess what we see. A cockroach crawling on the table. That thing must been around 4 or 5 cm..eyuww…gross.. when we showed it to the waiter, he just act shocked (tapi macam tak ikhlas) and asked us to move to another available table. Because I was with my colleagues and boss who is so tolerance, I just follow along with them. If it was up to me, I would have just marched out of the door.

After ordering. I think we’ve ordered a set which consist of appertizers, main dish, desserts and drinks (the red tom yam still have fish smell in it so we changed it to white tom yam)Forgive me if I do not mentioned the list of food in my post. But I was slightly distracted during the whole experience comes along  ANOTHER cockroach. This one is slightly smaller than the previous..anak kot.. euwww….the waiter..just want to catch it with a tissue and return the dish to us. wth man?? We were nearly finished at that time. I stopped eating immediately. Unlike others they are STILL eating..such tolerance.. and the waiter or anyone does not have the courtesy to apologize.

Haiyohh.. If I was the organizer of that meeting, I would just walk off without paying.

indeed it is beyond ordinary. my ordinary food won't come with cockroaches

Verdict :
Decoration : 8/10 – love the furnitures. maybe that’s where they kept all their cockroach pets 😛
Food : 3/10 – not to my liking. plus extra ingredients of the roach throw me off
Service : 2/10 – the 2 marks is for the sweet hostesss that greeted us

Charles and Keith handbag finally!! (phew)

February 6, 2011 at 8:36 am (hOt mama, life) (, , , , )

I am the kind of person who is loyal to only one handbag (or more like lazy to change handbags to suit different occasions 😛 ). I tend to use the same handbag for work, for shopping, for short for everything. So, I was kind of devastated when my ferragamo handbag ended it’s life around 2 weeks ago.

Since then, I’ve been carrying my back up handbag (not quite a handbag, more like a souvinier bag my dad gave me from real madrid) around to work and my old guess tote bag to everywhere else.

I must admit (my hubby can vouch for me) that I am not an easy person to go shop with. Well, for one I am very picky. And like I said, I will look for a handbag that will be suitable for all occasions. We went to all sorts of shops in MidValley, One Utama, Subang Parade from Coach, Calvin Klein, Paris Hilton, Parkson, Bonia, Carlo Rino to all the tiny shops with less known brand.

Problem is with me, I won’t buy anything if I don’t get any chemistry or calling from it (please don’t close your browser. I am not crazy 😛 ). Poor yusnO had to accompany me in search of the CHOSEN handbag 🙂

Today, I bought the perfect handbag for me! Found it at Charles and Keith at One Utama. What I love about it is black in color (easy to match) and the best thing is, it has a long sling that you can take of f when you’re using it for the office and you can easily put it on for casual and fun outing 🙂 It’s affordable too. Just for the price of RM179!!

purchase of the day

I guess hubby was so thrilled that the search is finally over he practically volunteered to pay for it. (thanks laling..muAhssxx)

me checking if the handbag is durable and trying my luck to see whether it’s eatable

Meaning of Flowers

February 4, 2011 at 3:49 pm (life) (, , , , , )

Guys, a bit of advise, even if a lady says how much she doesn’t like flowers, most of the time, chances are she would love it when you send her flowers. Shows that someone cares for her enough to go to the trouble to send her flowers 🙂 . And guys, every flower has its own message when you give it to the ladies. So make sure you choose the right one

Roses – To show love or friendship
Red : True love,passion, I love you
Pink : Happiness, friendship
Yellow : New beginning, friendship
White – Honor, purity, innocence

Tulips – True Love

Sunflower – Adoration

Carnation – To show Feelings
Red : Admiration, respect
Pink : Unforgettable, “I’ll never forget you”
White : Sweet, pure, love

Daffodils – I’m Sorry

5 quick and easy ways to become rich

February 3, 2011 at 4:21 am (life, work) (, , , )

  1. Be beautiful. Money and fame will just follow you naturally.
If you’re fugly looking, invest to upgrade your looks. Ouh wait..that also requires money. nevermind 😛
  2. Having a long lost relative who doesn’t have anyone else but you to inherit her large sums of moolah
Please take note that you will have to look after her sick **s until she’s dead and there’s also a risk that she will have a long life and you will be dead before her
  3. Invent a time machine so that you can go back in time and take back all the junk back then that would be collectors item today
This is applicable for those who’s IQ above 300 only. Not applicable to simpleton and bimbos
  4. Marry a rich guy
Applicable to all bimbos out there. Also related to item no 1.
  5. Enter a reality show (not applicable in Malaysia. They are just lame over here 😛 )
Please only do this if you have talent. Don’t be another William hung or whatever his name is.  (although he did make some money out of that silly singing and dance of his..hmMmm)

Monrod : sOmething different in Bangi

February 2, 2011 at 3:39 pm (Food Love Affair) (, , , , , )

In Bangi, there are so many places to eat. I stumbled upon one restaurant in Seksyen 7 called Monrod.

The place serves fusion food. What’s great about this place is there’s an area upstairs for performance/karaoke or private functions. You can see the view of Bangi from up there.

As for the price, ordering for 4 people would sums up only RM49 (which personally I think it is reasonable considering the ambiance and the comfortable setup)

My verdict of Monrod
Food : 3/5
Price : 3/5
Service : 4/5
Ambience : 4/5

old skOOl funfair!!

February 2, 2011 at 8:33 am (hOt mama, life) (, , )

Do you remember the old fashioned funfairs? The one that parents use to bring their kids before there were Sunway Lagoon, Wet World, Berjaya Times Square Amusement park, etc? The funfairs that were nomad-like, stay at one place for a while and then off to the next destination?

Well, I haven’t seen one of those in a while. Last time I went to a funfair was in 2002 I think. (still quite recent compared to those I’ve talked to). Few weeks ago, I noticed there was one of those behind my Kajang house (I think it is in conjunction of Chinese New Year kot)

Yesterday, yusnO, zOey, my cousin and me went to the funfair all gung-ho after postponing the plan the day before since SOMEBODY did not sleep in the afternoon which resulted that SOMEBODY to sleep early that night..haha.

Some things never changes :
– the games are still bloody hard to win 😛 (resulting of us collecting only keychains, pens and can drinks)
– the rides still make me notious
– the ferris wheel still is the center of attraction

And some things do:
– the tokens are expensive (1 token for RM2) Most of the rides and games costs you 2 tokens or more
– there are no entertainment (dulu dulu kan ada band rock kapak would perform or dangdut as i recall..hehe)
– i am riding little train to accompany my daugther..hahahhaa..imagine..big a small tiny train..(tebal muka je laa labu…direct translation-just thicken your face pumpkin 😛 )

Will upload the pics after i get it from my hubby
