My personal review on Pokemon GO after 24 hours playing it

August 7, 2016 at 6:24 am (life) (, , , , , )

Pokemon GO finally arrived in Malaysia yesterday and i downloaded the game and joined the bandwagon to see whats the “hu ha” all about about this that created a craze all around the world

My take after one day of playing Pokemon GO:

1. Pros

  • This game will make you want to go and explore new places to collect new types of pokemon. Advantage for those who likes to travel

  • You need to actually walk to make sure the eggs in your incubator is hatched (after certain km of walking). Therefore, you will get much neeed exercise that everyone nowadays is lacking

  • Players will be able to meet new people when chasing the pokemon or going to the gym (pokemon training center)
  • People can actually leverage on the location of the pokestop and gym to make small business or attractions
  • Event coordinator can liaise with d pokemon admin in future for setting up rare pokemon at their events to ensure the crowd coming in

2. Cons

  • You will be walking with your eyes glued to your phone all the time to ensure that you dont miss any of the pokemon
  • It is dangerous when driving because drivers will also stop or slow down without any reality obstacle in front just to get to pokestop or catch pokemon
  • This app will drain your hp batts and data for sure if you on it 24/7
  • You cant figure out if there are people roaming around your house area because they are robbers or they just want to that pokemon in your garden
  • Weirdly most of the gym are at religious spots like masjid, tokong and kuils. It might be pros or cons depend on the way you look at it

  • Technically the app ui is not great but it rides on the human nature of competing and collecting these pokemons to get bragging right among their friends. The gps are confusing and it is not very accurate. The augmented reality is not to my liking was well since the distance of the pokemon when throwing the ball is really off. (Or is it just me?) and almost all the time, the pokemon will just appear in front of you camera. No challenge to look around for it.

    Verdict:

As long as you know your limit and dont endangered yourself or others while playing this Pokemon GO. Go ahead. It is just a game anyway 😁 For me, since i have a very short attention span, i might likely stop playing after 3 or 4 days if i stay at the same area and keep bumping to the same pokemon again and again 😅

A lot of things going on

    July 28, 2016 at 3:35 pm (hOt mama, life, work) (, , , , , )

I am tired..maybe it’s because of being pregnant at this age..or maybe it’s work stress..maybe it’s just my life

I am emotionally and physically drained at work but I tried very hard not to show it. I feel like I am carrying a lot of “unseen” responsibilities currently and need to sort it out before I go off for maternity. So I need to toughen it up and pull it together..at least until I go off for the long leave

    Physically
I am going to be 35 years old in 2 months..I think age is catching up really fast and I can really feel it during pregnancy

    • My feet hurts ..my pelvic kinda hurts on and off..even though people say my tummy is relatively still small for 6 1/2 months..Can’t imagine how I am going to walk around when I am 8-9 months.
    • I often are short of breath now and then, not sure why.. (i gave up googling for symptoms because it always shows result telling me I am dying because of critical illness)
    • I am easily tired.. (not sleepy) but fatigue..kinda hard because I really need try to fight these symptoms off when I am in the office.
    • Body ache.. Gosh I feel like 100 years old every morning when I need to wake up

    Emotionally
I think I have passed the stage of pissing off with everyone and everything 😛 Now I think I am more sensitive/sad instead of getting mad

    • Work – I am not sure whether I am supposed to feel this or is it because I am pregnant..(can’t really tell the difference nowadays).. I am sad because I am contributing the best I can with the skills and effort that I have, and somehow it is not appreciated or supported. And somehow the decisions or the directions they have made, it has been proven that it doesn’t work and yet, the effort and support are still channelled there. It comes up to a point that I think, if I am not really needed or if my functions is not important, why have this function or even me here at all.
    • Pregnancy – Not feeling really good about my body (refer to above on the physical part), but I think my partner has done really good job taking care of my emotions regarding this. But there are people that is really….”mintak penampar” with their comments.
      • Looks at my baby bump and laugh. Not sure what is so funny about it? If you are happy, that is different. I can clearly see that you are laughing at my tummy. What is wrong with you? never seen a pregnant lady before? And hey, when you are fat, have I ever once…make fun of you? NO…because I am not that shallow. And …people just dont laugh at tummy of a pregnant woman..you are just lucky that I did not just bitch slap you right there. Look mister.. (yes, only men can be this stupid / shallow) I may be having large tummy now but there is a beautiful baby growing inside me.. what’s your excuse?
    • Looking around see men/sometimes women that just not even covering their shallowness. They would be proud taking pictures with so many people of their of opposite sex. The more “gedik” the better. They would be following only sexy/beautiful/ hot opposite sex at their social media and liking their pictures religiously.. ouh god..puhlease laa weh.. (I am aware that maybe I am being over emotional due to the people who laughed at my tummy at my previous point)..

My goals after giving birth is..now that I realize that age is catching up with me..and I only have this body to live with the rest of my life, I should be taking better care of it. (also, need to get into shape again..so that I can show to the one who laugh at me.. if he is not aware..it is normal to have a tummy when you are pregnant (duhhh) and you can get back to shape after the baby is born.. (did it once..i can do it again) so dont be an ass and ever laugh at another pregnant women again about her tummy or weight.

Gonna get some Zs now.. good night all.

McD delivery Malaysia..Get your act together for goodness sake +_+

    June 21, 2016 at 7:40 am (Food Love Affair) (, , , )

    Dear McD..

At first I applaud your initiative to go fully online this 1st July for your online delivery since your customer service kinda suck.

But when I downloaded the mobile app and choose my meal and want to check out, seems like my shopping cart is still empty. So I tried again, and again and again, maybe close to 10 times, still the f***ing cart is still empty. I was not impressed anymore. Don’t you guys have a testing team or QC to thoroughly test everything before making it official? I read the review at app store and it seems like most of the people are also complaining about the same thing. Some complain that the app can’t even find their address. So yeah…McDonald Malaysia…your mobile app SUCKS!!! and you guys are not doing anything about it. It is still the same version, no update, no patch..NOTHING!!! and yet you guys are still promoting to cut off the call delivery starting 1st July.

And don’t get me started on your call center for delivery. +_+

Please la McD Malaysia. Get your act together.

    Sincerely,
    Hungry Frustrated Angry Pregnant Lady.

    Malaysia’s 13th General Election? Just saying… :)

    May 4, 2013 at 5:30 am (life) (, , )

There is a lot of heat going on due to the Malaysia’s 13th General Election. Everywhere you look, people are talking about the Election ; especially in the social media world. It is kinda frustrating to see how uncivilised most of ‘strong’ supporters of the parties bringing down the other parties.

I am not siding any parties 🙂 this is purely my personal observation and opinion

When I see the manifesto of certain parties when they said if they win, they will give free this free that. Hey I am all for free stuff. But can our country afford giving everything free to the people without affecting our country’s fund? Some of it maybe can be materialized for example free tol or reduce tol rate because the cost of the highway construction have been compensate after long period of toll payment by the people. Maybe we can just pay for the maintenance cost.

But I also read certain parties are going to offer free studies for all?eliminate ptpn? wow..this is something else. Not only I am wondering how they are going to do this, but how is this going to affect the mentality of the students? You could see even now, uitm students (those that is only for Malays) are taking it for granted due to they think only because of their race, they can easily go in this institute (which is true) and they are taking this for granted. The quality of students that come out from it, sorry to say, it mostly rubbish. There are few of good ones but most of it… (sigh). Even if you look around and see the students, scholars or even with ptpn, they are cruising along their university days since all is paid for (even if it just LOAN and you have to pay back). They don’t appreciate the chance that has been given and taking everything for granted because they don’t have to work hard for it. Can you imagine if everything is free? how serious are they going to be in their studies when there is nothing to lose?

Looking at the campaign strategy. It sucks when everyone is talking bad about everyone because of this election. If looking at the social media (regardless whether what they say is true or not) it seems like all the candidates, no matter which parties you are, are either villain, corrupted or sex offenders..aiyoooo.. +_+

There are also some people who is not really convincing when they state their argument when they are expressing their
anger towards the other parties. I have these one friend, who’s father was an avid government supporters when he was young, and this friend told me that the wealth of the father comes from the projects or works that have given by the government. Now this friend is arguing that the recent government is corrupted and what not, but look at yourself friend. You don’t practice what you preach. You are still enjoying your father’s wealth and cruising through life with the money you claim is corrupted. Have you no shame? If you are rejecting all the money and living with your hard earn money to buy your car..your house..it will make your argument more valid and i will have more respect towards you.

Whatever it is, people will really act differently when they have money and power. It is not a guarantee if we change the goverment, everything will be all peachy and fine. There will still be corruption and chronism no matter who rules. In my opinion, there won’t be any government in the world which is 100% clean. But we can always pray and hope towards that, either with the current or new government. It IS your choice anyway.

For me, I do not hope for free service and free everything. Malay privilege is not top priority for me (this could hurt the Malays if we keep giving everything so easily for them). I love that Malaysia is a multiracial country.

The only thing I hope from the new government is for a peaceful country for me and my children and future generation.

p/s: bimbo mode on : i love all the colorful campaign flags regardless the parties.so pretty~~ >.< wonder who is going to clean it all up afterwards :p

Watson Buy 1 Free 1 Mask Promo

    October 27, 2012 at 4:21 pm (hOt mama) (, , )

My facial lady told me that the best thing is to use mask on our face daily or once every 2 days. This way the face will become hydrated and more supple. No need to use expensive mask, cheap ones would serve the purpose just fine (provided ur not allergic to it) :p

Today i saw watson was having sale on their mask. Buy 1 free 1. They have various types of mask to chose from.i chose 3 types: cucumber, tomato and aloe vera. Each mask is 5.90 so with the current promotion, the mask is only 3.00 per piece!! 😀

    20121028-001756.jpg
My face felt cool and hydrated after leaving the mask on for 20 minutes. Maybe I should have left it longer since the mask was still moist when i took it off 🙂

    20121028-001816.jpg
The sale is until 28th oct which is tomorrow 🙂 Go to watson tomorrow if ur looking for cheap mask for your daily use 😉

    Breast Cancer

    April 29, 2012 at 7:36 am (hOt mama, life) (, , )

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer among Malaysians.

Someone I knew was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She found a lump under her breast and it was progresively growing. Doctor confirmed that it was cancerous (early stage) and told that she needed chemotherapy or she could always opt for removing her whole affected breast.

Right now she is seeking for second opinion.

My point here is..I always ignore these thing thinking that it would never happen to me or someone I knew. When this happens, it made me think that maybe we should take this more seriously and do check up regularly and always look out for the early signs.

Below are the guide of doing self check up (taken from http://caribwall.com/)

You can also observe whether there is any abnormalities in your breast

If you have the symptoms below, don’t panic just yet. Set an appointment for a scan or mammogram to check whether it is cancerous or not.

    Early detection saves your life.

Love and take care of your body. 🙂
