Nutella Cake Recipe

Hi peeps.

I found this recipe for nutella cake … (think it is taken from Nigella lawson’s How To Be A Domestic Goddess Book) and decided to try it out. it seems like a fool proof recipe. What do you know, it turned out great and delicious.. (seriously guys..nothing can go wrong when nutella is involved)

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs (separate the yolk from the white)
  • pinch of salt
  • 125 gram soft unsalted butter
  • 600 gram nutella
  • 1 table spoon water
  • 100 gram ground hazelnut
  • 100 gram dark cooking chocolate

How to

  • Toast the hazelnut in a dry frying pan until it is golden brown. Let it cool off completely
  • Grind the toasted hazelnut
  • Melt the dark cooking chocolate using the double boiling heat. let it cool off
  • Greased a 9 inch cake tin
  • Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  • In a bowl, whish the egg whites and salt until stiff (not dry)
  • In another bowl, beat butter and 400 gram of nutella. Then, add the 1 table spoon water, egg yolk and the grounded hazelnut
  • Mix the melted cooking chocolate with the mixture of egg whites. Then gently put in the mixture in the nutella mixture bowl 1/3 at a time
  • Pour in the tin and bake it for 40 minutes or until the cake beginning to come away at the sides

  • Let it cool off before you take out the cake from the tin. It might be a little bit difficult since it is a very moist cake. (expect your cake to colapse a bit)
  • Put the rest of nutella as the icing. ( you can opt for chocolate icing as per the original recipe but I am lazy and what can I say..I love my nutella) ๐Ÿ™‚

And…wallaaah… nutella cake! It doesn’t look that grand but it is delicious ๐Ÿ™‚ I brought 3/4 of the cake to the office and they finished it before noon! The nutella might be a bit pricey but you won’t regret it

Recipe of the day : Shepherd’s Pie

Today I’m gonna share recipe to make shepherd’s pie for dummies ๐Ÿ˜› Easy and yummy ๐Ÿ™‚

Ingredients

1 pound minced meat – beef
2 carrot chopped into dice
1 (10.5 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup. kalau ada yg mushroom cheese lagi best.
1/2 onion, diced
2 ulas garlic
1.5 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups mashed potatoes or more according to your liking
(for 2 cups of mashed potato you would need around 5 to 6 potatoes. when boiling the potatoes, put chicken stock in the boiling water for better taste ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Instruction

1.Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Tumis onion and garlic.
3.Put mince meat until medium-high heat until beef is browned, about 10 minutes. Drain fat. Mix in carrot and cream of mushroom soup
4.Pour beef mixture into a casserole dish and top with 80% of the Cheddar cheese. Spread mashed potato on top.
5.Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top of the mashed potato
4.Bake in the preheated oven until the pie is hot, and the mashed potatoes are golden brown, about 30 minutes.

Mari buat Oreo Surprise Cupcake

Hi peeps.

I am not a good cook. So if I managed to cook something nice, you know that the recipe is easy to follow and idiot-proof ๐Ÿ˜›

I’m going to share with you on how to make Oreo Surprise Cupcake. It is called oreo surprise because inside the cupcake you will find an oreo mini cupcake with cream cheese ๐Ÿ™‚ย Sbb tadi baru try buat..I must admit the taste is really awesome (puji diri lak ..ย hehe )

Cupcake Ingredients
ย – 1 package of chocolate cake mix (iย bought the dark chocolate choc cake mix instead of normal choc mix to make sure the cupcake is notย too sweet)
-24 oreo bite size cookies (jaya grocer or cold storage should have one of these)
-1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
-1 egg
-2 tablespoon white sugar

Instructions
Heat oven to 160 celcius
-Prepare cake batter as directed on package


-Mix cream cheese, egg and sugar until blended
-Put half of the cake batter in cupcake cup
-Put 2 table spoon of cream cheese mixture in the cup
-Place 1 mini oreo in the middle of the cupcake


-Put the rest of the batter in the cup to cover the oreo


-Bake for 22 minutes
-Take out and let it cool ๐Ÿ™‚

Enjoy ur cupcake


Optional
-You can put whipping cream as topping and place another mini oreo on top as decoration.

How to make fruit pavlova

I got this recipe from a friend. Easiest way to make a fruit pavlova. But not so easy for me when I first tried this since my mom’s mixer is broken so i have to mix the bloody thing, especially the whipped cream by hand +_+

Ingredients
4 egg white
200g castor sugar
2 tea spoon corn starch
1 tea spoon vanilla essence
1 tea spoon vinegar or apple cider
500ml anchor whipped cream
Fruits (i use strawberry and kiwi)

Instructions
Beat the egg white until fluffy
Put in sugar and beat in the mixer until fluffy
Put vanilla, apple cider and cornstarch gradually. Beat until it is well mixed.
Pour it in a tray or for me I pour it separately for easy consumption ๐Ÿ™‚
Baked the meringue for 45-50 minutes
The meringue should still be fragile but the outside part is like and egg shell
Let the meringue cool down. (the meringue should cracked a little when u take it out from the oven)

Beat the whipped cream until it is thick. Put it on top of the meringue. Place your desired fruit on top of the cream

And..you’re done ๐Ÿ™‚
