Dinner @ Halia Restaurant, Sime Darby Convention Center
Last Friday we decided to try out the buffet dinner at Halia restaurant after being highly recommended by a friend.
I’ve made reservation for 3 pax. just in case it was full. I was right, when we arrived, the place was fully booked.
We are greeted by ‘rolling goat’ kambing golek in front of the restaurant. They were roasting the lamb and other kebab dish there.
The concept was Brazilian buffet. The ambiance was nice. Speciality of this place is the waitress will go from table to table bringing skewers of kebab (fish,chicken,red meat) . You can choose whatever your heart desire.
On each table they will serve with various sauce and keropok thingy.
They have large selection of salads (I don’t eat vege so i just opted for the shrimp) . The shrimp was fresh.
I like the fact that they have bun heated in a heater so it will be warm and soft. 🙂
Main dish offered for me was quite limited but worth of what we’re paying for. There were corn, wedges, spagetthi carbonara,nasi goreng kampung, kebab)
Dessert was ok i guess. Too bad they’ve switched off the chocolate fountain. So we actually have to dip the fruits and marshmellow in the mangkuk instead of just letting the chocolate flow.
To conclude, the ambiance was 8/10. Food was 7/10. Service was 7/10 ( I really think the servers need to smile and be more friendly).
Per pax is RM38++ to date and the buffet dinner is from 6 – 10pm.
Secret Recipe at Menara Telekom Sucks!!!
I have 2 words to say to Secret Recipe in Menara Telekom. YOU SUCK!!!
Really. With ignorant and rude waitress. Urgh.. I’ve had it with them.
My 3 friends and me went for lunch last Friday. 3 of us ordered mozarella baked fish. (note at that time there were only few customers around) Waiting and waiting for our food, the crowd started to come in.. Their food has arrived..Some even finished eating!! Guess what. Our f**king food has not yet arrived!!!
45 minutes later we asked a waitress, what happened to our order. and the waitress with an attitude just nodded and went off. bangang ke apa. Decided to ask another waitress, she saw us calling but she just ignored ask..WTH?? If you can’t handle big crowd, please put in the maximum amount of people you are capable of serving at one time so that we can go somewhere else for better service.
Managed to grab one of the waitress (coincidentally she was the one who took our order) she said the mozarella cheese take long time to cook. I asked. You take 1 hour to cook a dish?? She with an arrogance said yes and walked off. Without saying sorry or anything.
1 hour to melt mozarella cheese?? come on laa..do you think we’re stupid?? Kalau dah sejam tu..the cheese would have evaporate into thin air…If it really took one hour to cook it..I think you guys are baking the cheese using candles?
I asked the cashier when paying why does it take that long (persistent, ain’t I?) She said that the dish does take an hour to serve. I told her, I’ve ordered the dish at other Secret Recipe branch but at most they would only take 20 minutes to prepare it.
Just admit it was your mistake. I know you’ve forgotten our order.
I hope Secret Recipe please take note of this comment because when there are no feedback form to be filled (I guess they know they have bad service so they decided to hide the bloody feedback form).
I love Secret Recipe but your branch at Menara Telekom really sucks. Poor Customer Service. No manners. All negative attitude all in one branch!!
hMmm…it’s been a while since i’ve blogged..work at office this month has been overwhelming. If I am not bz doing work at home, I’m spending my night free time with zOey 🙂
I don’t even have time to plan her bDay party yet. gosh..what present to get her? 
My latin dancing class is ending soon. This Saturday will be our last lesson. Then we will start the ‘bronze’ latin dance the next week. weehOo!! best 🙂
tomOrrow I’m going to Halia restaurant at Sime Darby for their dinner buffet. Highly recommended by a friend. Can’t wait 🙂
