Sick as a next person

May 31, 2011 at 7:19 am (life) (, , , )

I am surrounded by sick peeps here..uhuk uhuk..and..I just joined the bandwagon. Have a really annoying and painful sore throat. for these past  2 days

I think I might have caught it from ms zOey reena bucuk 😛 She was really crying the life out of us sleepless these past few nights. And yesterday, my tonsils also starts to swells..haihh…  Because I only have sore throat, I ate ice cream last evening to make the swelling goes down. (and hey it works for a while) but make sure it is not chocolate or anything heaty.

Things that I like to do when I’m sick :
1. Hug from someone
2. I like to lie my head on my mom’s lap 😛 (meleseh kata org utara)
3. Take a long hot shower because I always feel cold when I’m sick (not advisable if you have high fever)
4. Cuddled up in my comforter and bantal busuk
5. Read Archie Comics

Whenn….when will this sore throat go away??? (and i think i’m beginning to have a cold…demmit!!)

I’m fat/thin/tall/short/dark/fair? I am Beautiful with the capital B:)

May 23, 2011 at 11:51 am (life) (, , , , , , )

Discrimination. I hate that word. I hate people who discriminates or look down on people because of the color of the skin, how much they weight, how rich or poor one is.

Recently I had a conversation with a mother who was telling me that her daughter friend has a best friend (a boy) and always hanging out with her daughter’s friend and her daugther too. The mother said to me “The boy is cute and rich. And I think she is interested in my daughter. Because there is no way he is interested with my daughters friend because she is fat.hahaha” Seriously I can’t believe my ears when I heard about it.

Seriously. Bragging is one thing. Putting people down is another thing. I wonder what will happen if she becomes like the one she hates so much. Fat! Tak keluar rumah kot rasanya

In my opinion. Most of the chubby people I know are lovely. They have wonderful personality and they are not hideous la. Come on la. You can also see so many unattractive slim people. But people do not point it out. Our society somehow really likes to pick on the chubby ones.

To me,as long as one is healthy and love herself. The beauty of her self confidence would shine through. No matter how thin, fat, dark, fair, tall or short she is.

To those who are always around these kind of people. People who loves to put down others just because they want to feel good about themselves. Stand up to them. Don’t let them win. They are like that because others always put up with them and just keep quiet. I am not telling you to punch them in their face (eventhough it is very tempting) but you can always say, “God has given me this beautiful body/skin color and I love the way I am. I don’t have to put up with your shallow comments just because you don’t have enough self confidence and feel the need to put people down to feel good about yourself” Then you can punch them in the face 🙂

Be Healthy. Be Confident. Be Happy.

May 16, 2011 at 2:52 pm (hOt mama, life) (, , , )

My iPad2 came in today!!! yey..It is a mother’s day gift frOm my beloved husband 🙂 macih laling [heart]

I was quite ‘segan’ when yusno said he wanted to buy an iPad2 for me for mother’s day because i was initially joking asking him to buy it for me 😛 I said that i can pay for it but he insisted on buying it as a gift for me 🙂 sweet kan hubby ku ni?

When i told it to some of my friends, there’s one person I think is kinda unstabil because she kept broadcasting to everyone we met that i insisted my hubbyto buy the iPad2 for me (tah apa apa kan) when I said I was joking when i said that she  kept saying “don’t change the story. You told me that you ask him to buy it for you” with a defensive tone. gila tak gila??  chillex la..

Anyways, i really like the present hubby and I’m sure zOey will love playing it as well 🙂

Nasi Buncit at Tanjung Village

May 13, 2011 at 12:55 pm (Food Love Affair, work) (, , , , , , , , , , )

Yesterday I went out for lunch with my friends at Tanjung Village, Kota Damansara.

When we arrived, the place wasn’t crowded yet. The place is basically a food court where you have all sorts of stall from traditional to western cuisine. I was told by my friends who’s been there be for the must try food when eating there is Nasi Buncit from Kodai Gomok (cuteness), Bawal Goreng with rice at the Bawal Power Store and ikan bakar with rice at the Ikan bakar Store.

When the Nasi Buncit arrived, i got the shock of my life Theportion was HUGE!! It was like 2.5 of a normal fried rice. The fried rice doesn’t look special or different from any normal fried rice but when you taste it, yum it has a unique taste where they use special seasoning… :P~ the fried rice is served with keropok, egg and a chicken wing. This Nasi Buncit cost RM10 per plate.

I ordered ikan pari set. It came with rice, and ‘masak lemak’ gravy, sambal and air asam + kicap (i think). The fish was served with special sauce (sambal) on top. The sambal was hea..ven…ly…. This set also cost RM10.

My friend ordered the bawal set. Served with rice and with gravy and sambal. Best eaten when it is still hot. The fish was big and crunchy!! 😛 Macam makan kat kampung. This set will cost you RM8 if I remembered correctly

The food was great. The price was average. The ambience, well I was told that it is more happening during the night. When we came during lunch, it was like any other food court. only cleaner 😛

If you’re around there, drop by at the  Tanjung village. You won’t regret it 🙂

Nasi Lemak CT Garden, Kampung Baru

May 1, 2011 at 3:42 am (Food Love Affair, life) (, , , , , )

Me and hubby went to Nasi Lemak CT Garden, Kampung Baru for dinner yesterday. It was my first time there. First I was quite skeptical about all of these nasi lemak place becase I don’t fancy the lauk2 and somehow the nasi lemak always taste the same to me. What’s important to me is the ikan bilis must be headless and must have peanut 😛 (yer saya tau saya byk songeh)

Th ambience, well, it was just like any other malay restaurant, but it has a nice view of KLCC.

The way it works is there is a nasi lemak station, the lauk pauk station and also the drinks station before you pay for the eats. The nasi lemak portion is really small if you’re a big eater, so you might want to take 2 or 3 per person. Each nasi lemak cost RM0.70. At the nasi lemak station there’s also otak otak which cost Ro.60 sen per err…otak? hahaha.

At the lauk(s) station, there is a lot of varieties (for those who likes to eat their nasi lemak with all of these extras). There were paru, rendang, telur burung puyuh, kari, hati, ayam goreng, ayam kampung, etc2… Don’t even bother trying to say to the makcik like my hubby “Makcik, I want only 2 or 3 of the telur burung puyuh (quail’s egg)”. The makcik will give you a scoop of whatever you’ve requested (which in my hubby’s case he got around 10 quail’s egg). Because they determine the price by the scoop (senduk). Average price per scoop is RM 3.50.

Then off to the drinks station. They got juice, the usual milo, neslo, nescafe, sirap bandung, etc… Average costing aroung RM1.30 oer drink and RM2.50 per juice.

All in all. it costs us around RM10.20 for 2 person’s dinner. Very cheap 🙂

2 Nasi lemak (RM0.70×2) + 2 Otak-otak (RM0.60×2) + Scoop of quail’s egg and paru-paru (RM 5.00) + Milo & Sirap Bandung (RM1.30×2)

Total = RM 10.20
