Fairy Theme Birthday Party
zOey’s only request for her 5th birthday this year is for her to be a fairy princess. So what’s a mom to do? Organize a fairy-themed birthday party of course!! 🙂 It’s the least I can do for the best daughter in the whole wide world 🙂
So to plan the party, I am focusing on the decorations to make it as fairy like as possible. After googling few ideas, most of the fairy theme party are usually held in the garden. But being in Malaysia, our garden is not as nice as overseas and of course there is always our unpredictable mother nature. Second option, to have leaves and flowers for decoration. Me and the team (yes I have a team- consist of my family) went to Nilai to buy the decorations (this is really an unplanned plan 😛 we just decide to go for a drive on Sunday to buy these stuff). Bought some strands of leave, flowers, petals and also lots and lots of ribbons. We also bought bubble pistol to make bubbles while we were there.
I have also ordered helium balloons from balloon buzz as part of the decorartions. Will pick them up on the day of the party. (I’m sure I am going struggle putting in and taking out the balloons in the car 😛 )
What else do I need to have for a Fairy theme party? Fairies!! So I bought fairy wings for zOey’s friends as part of the door gift for the party 🙂 can’t wait to see these cute fairies running around during the party. The door gifts item is mostly snacks and party noise makers being put in a princess plastic for girls and soccer plastic for boys.
For games, my sister is arranging it for the kids and there are also games for adults (can’t let the kids have all the fun) The gifts are already bought and wrapped..waiting to be won.. well me being the exceptionally great in games, might have to sit out the games to give others chance to win once in while.. hahaha.. Which reminds me, I need to print a fairy picture for the “Pin wings on a fairy” game for the kids.
Food for the party?I am definitely catering of course. I am not the one who is going to cook and slave my self over my sweat and blood to make foods for a party. kang org lain party…aku dok stress sorang sorang kat dapur..tau tau kurung diri sendiri dalam fridge..kan haru? 😛
For the cake…aaah..cake..long story. At first me and zOey have planned to have a cake with “5” shape and printed fairy pictures on top. When I first asked the bakery, they said they can do it, but when I went there again with the picture to print, they have 101 excuses saying that the picture can’t be printed, no 5 is difficult to do lah…so I just walked off. Went to another bakery, there is sort of 3d fairy hut cake, but if I ordered it now, they can only delivered it in the evening of the party, which they can’t tell me the exact time. So I walked out on another bakery. Then, out of ideas, while browsing the net, I stumbled upon Whisk bakery in empire. They have this beautiful rainbow cake picture in their facebook. The birthday girl also likes the colorful cake ..yippee..So today I went to the store and ordered a cake for the party..DONE! phew..What’s a party without a birthday cake 🙂

My 31st Bday celebration
Celebrated my 31st bday on the 28th September (i told you I have been bz :P)
My sis called me at midnight singing the most irritating and annoying birthday song ever. 😛 Then in the morning, zoey and yusno wished me before going to work. zOey have hidden chocolates for me in the closet..but she couldn’t find it (comel kan anak aku ni)
Durng lunch, my best friend asked to teman him tapau at the cafe. When we came back in the office, my friends apparently have arranged a birthday surprise for me (ada cake…topi …benda letup letup semua cukup)
When I got home, another surprise tea party was waiting for me (sib baik aku tak balik lambat) arranged by my family (also got cake..topi..tapi takde benda letup letup..but got balloons.. 🙂 ) and after cutting the cake, my dad treated all of us at Mr Tomyam in Solaris for dinner (they have branches but with diff name “Basil” in Bangsar Village)
I got to spend my birthday with my loved ones. What more could I asked for 🙂

yea yea i know i’m about 10 days late of wishing her in this blog..haha..but i didn’t forget to wish her on the day itself 🙂
we took mama out for dinner on her bday at tarbush, empire. simple but memorable dinner considering it was a week day.
yusno and i gave mama a spa treat at veqish the next day. well it was a surprise but i guess mama did suspect that her gift is related to spa-ish thingy.
originally i wanted to bring her to hammam but considering she is not comfortable of having other people bathing and scrubbing her..so i guess that crossed out hammam from my list.
so i book a session with veqish since she’d already been there once. treatment we bought for her was facial,relaxing massage, foot and ankle scrub & smoothing foot wrap. phew..so glad she liked it 😉 horray!!
on saturday, we all planned a surprise bday party to mama hawaiian style. it was done at our kajang house. meme and bin was assigned to bring mama there. it was a pot luck style so all the guess gladly bring a dish 🙂
the look on mama’s face was priceless. i think she was honestly surprised!
thanks to my family who sportingly came dressed within the theme.

planning zOey’s bday party : Part 2
I’ve finally found a birthday cake as per requested by zOey.
As per mentioned in my previous post , zOey wants lightning mcqueen cake. A friend suggested this lady which does a 2d cake, the design was ok but after enquiring her, it seems like she was fully booked on zOey’s bDay party date (boo hoo) So i kept on searching. The other 2 websites i’ve enquired for quotation did not give me any feedback. hMmmph..fine.. I can take my business else where. blprrhhhttt 😛
I found this facebook page Cake Specialist. He has done the lightning mcqueen design as I saw it in his photos.So i sent him a message regarding the quotation for lightning mcqueen cake design. The price is reasonable and best part is, the cake is 3d. yey (and he does cupcakes too!! ) The photos of his designs looks lovely. Let’s just hope and pray zOey’s cake will be just as nice 🙂
On the other note, I have designed a disney cars theme for the email invitation at Evenesis. yey. will sent it out to my guest soon 🙂

We celebrated papa’s 57th bDay at our favourite celebration hang out..equatorial hotel bangi (where else) hehe. It was kinda a double celebration since my second cousin, Nadia was also celebrating her bDay on the 10th 🙂

Happy 30th bDay my darling hubby!
as usual sOrry for the late post, but well you know, I’ve been bz planning and executing (doing a great job..ehem ehem)
I’ve planned to do a special party for him for his bDay. I even took leave frOm work on that day. Well, I need to think of someplace special and as cozy as our home to do the party. After much searching, I stumbled upon Octavia KL. A service apartment which is located in Windsor Tower Hartamas. The place is gorgeous. Great view, great interior.
We checked in around 2 o’clock. Kevin the person who managed the place shows us around the apartment, the facilities and the clubhouse. The pool is huge!! (too bad didn’t get a chance to try it out. maybe on our next stay 🙂 )
Back to the party (focus noami focus). The party was potluck concept. My mom brought nasi minyak with the works (catering not self cooked yeah. do not want my mom to pengsan cooking for 20 people.haha) My mom in law and my cousin brought satay. (note to self, always communicate to all of your guest what to bring to avoid duplication :P) Me? well i slaved myself in front of the hot oven the night before to bake carrOt cake fOr yusnO. I am not a big fan of carrot cake, so i don’t know how a great carrot cake suppose to taste like. but other guest say it was delicious. (they might be scared of me because i warned them even if the cake suck, just lie to me..hahah..so they might just did that)
After we eat, we played the new xBox kinects (dunno how to spell). It was awesome!!! and all of us look like baffoon playing the games. It was great fun!
The party went well, everybody loved the place. yusnO love his presents. (I think :P)
tO yusnO, I hope u enjoyed the party and your bDay celebration. yOu are officially an old man. dOnt worry, you still have a hOt wife and adorable daughter that loves you no matter how old and cripple you get.

I didn’t have time to post his birthday post earlier. (its because i was bz celebrating it with you laa laling) ehhehe.. Well..I hope what they say about a picture could replace a thousand word is true..I hope this does the trick..hehhee
Happy Birthday tO me…
Yesterday..well yesterday was my birthday..it was..interesting..
I started my birthday waking up at 1am(slept off that night at 11.40pm) feeling quite down..no one except for 1 sms in my hp wished me happy birthday at 12am..takpe laa i thought to myself..it was a working day the next day so they all have work the next day so understandable lah..
Woke up (while hubby singing birthday loudly beside me) at 6.10am feeling crappy because after a long raya holiday, I was not looking forward to wake up early in the morning to go to work!
While having morning drink..I nearly choked my Vitamins..(what a way to start my birthday)..befOre going to work..my mama wished me happy birthday and gave birthday gift in sampul raya..(cash la what else) hehe.. zOey was still sleeping..so no bday wish from my baby that morning.
Off to work and had breakfast with hubby and one of my colleague. Others all started to puasa 6 already. Milo ais was sponsored by hubby and my nasi lemak was sponsored by shuk..hee..yippie…
Then..work work work..with interference of all the lovely wishes from friends and family through facebook, email and sms.
Continue to work work work..It is quite bOring celebrating birthday while working because it feels like non existence birthday to me. Few years back, I always have a good friend who will celebrate birthday lunch with me. huhu… Surprise surprise..no lunch companion on my birthday..hMm.. never mind lah.. so what’s my lunch.. bought one mango blended.. 2 small cheezy twisties and 1 kinder buenos for desert. Feel like having secret recipe cake but somehow the situation is too pathetic if I bought cake on my birthday..hahhaa..
Work work work until evening..finally time to go home..maybe i can get some birthday atmosphere going on..ops i forgot..my team members Indra gave me biskut sugi for my birthday..didn’t open it yet..maybe later..
Hubby is waiting for me at lobby..with these lovely bouquet of flowers and a birthday card. (Thank you so much for the flowes..love it).. and we went to MValley. Hubby treated me to Krispy Kreme donut..which was yummy but somehow my stomach was still full with the junk food I ate for lunch.. 😛 Then we went jalan jalan around the mall and then decided to go home..forgot to mentioned..I nearly fell in the public toilet in MValley..nasib baik..kalau jatuh..euww..I cannot imagine…maybe I will marinate myself with soap and dettol for a year..
On the way hubby said he wants to stop by at Subang Parade to buy some thingamagic for his laptop..Ok la I guess..We’re having dinner there I guess.. After arriving there..got what he wanted and then walk some more..he keep postponing our dinner (I was hungry!) I figured out maybe my family might be joining us..but I was not so sure so I just go with the flow. tired..later hubby dragged me into TGIF and guess what..my family was all there..yey! Delighted to see them and zOey..miss her so much..
So we had lovely dinner there (papa’s treat..thank you papa). As you know..TGIF is well known with all the birthday celebration and singing stuff..while we were eating.. there were few of celebration and singing going on all over the restaurant..I was thinking thank god I am not doing that and seems like my family have no intention of joining to that too..goodie..I was busy eating that I did not realize that they DID plan something..ouh god..suddenly the waiter brought a beautiful bday cake that meme and bin bought..I think hubby asked them to buy kot.. and started to do their ritual..ouh god..nasib baik I didn’t faint..hahaha…have to stand on the chair and all sorts of stuff..huhu..panas giler muka…malu laaaa…yang nak lagi best..zOey pulak yg lebih lebih malu..hehehe..dia pulak yg tersipu sipu..
After eating…we went hOme..zOey was asleep..tired I guess with all the excitement.
I know I’ve said I did not want any presents..but..huhu…littrally they take it seriously..I did not receive any wrap presents on my birthday this year( I know I know I sound like a spoiled brat but hey..I’m used to getting presents on my birthday from I was lil..) so no unwrapping any presents for me yesterday..was quite down about it..I do not mind any present..something i can keep as a momento..just a simple one cheap thing would do..tapi takde langsung?..hahaha…cam funny plus depressing..
Last hour of my birthday I spent feeling mad at hubby because he decided to watch Amazing Race than spending time with me..I was like..aik..my birthday was not over laa..kena abandon macam tu..huhu..apa lagi..majuk laa.. (plus I think sensitivity and insanity comes goes with the age) Hubby later realized that I was muncung sebatu already and try to pujuk me..but being me..I am very kepala batu besar bapak gajah punye type..It is not easy to pujuk me..sape yg boleh pujuk immediately..mmg hebat la.. So after few attempts ..he started to marah balik at me..so in the end..dua dua tido tensi..
In the end..I guess it was an interesting birthday..lovely companions..lovely flowers..lovely dinner..just a bit of hiccups at the end of the day..
to my darling hubby… don’t be mad at me k..u know I’m a libran..it is not easy for me to confront things..most of the time I just kept quiet and muncung to show my ketidakpuasan hati..plus i guess being the part of the old crazy lady is getting to me..hee
